It is so not easy...

Home sweet home...party decor edition

I am sick and I have Lilly's 2nd birthday party here in less than 2-days. I am freaking out.

This home sweet home needs an overhaul and I am not feeling it. :(

I was totally looking forward to the planning, the decorating the party furniture rearrangements and I am praying that I wake up tomorrow feeling tip-top to get this home in order!

Here is what I am thinking for the decoration inspiration:

Color scheme for the party: Pink and Orange!

Theme: Ice Cream parlor!

Decor: lanterns and balloons!

Keeping it simple since I cannot be bothered this week. Lilly loves balloons so as long as I am well stocked she will be a happy girl!

I stumbled across Aida Coronado yesterday. Her designs are beautiful! I want everything (!!!) on this site. May be time for a new Mexican blouse...

Today...I am inspired by Novogratz style!

I first fell in love with this couple, family and design on a show on Bravo last year called "9 by Design".

For all of you unfamiliar with the Novogratz and their amazing work please check em out on their new show on HGTV "Home by Novogratz".

The reason I am inspired by them you ask...

They have 7 children and run an extremely successful (& famous) interior design company from their home in NYC. Their life is chaotic. Their style is unique and most importantly it is fabulous.
They pull their spaces together with vintage and affordable pieces from local vendors and famous artists.
Bottom line is that watching them work makes me happy!
Today I am inspired to someday run a chaotic & fabulous design business out of my home.
No, there will never be 7 children to this household. ;)

The new view...

One of the main reasons that we purchased this home (after looking for a realllllyy long time) was the fact that we didn't have anyone across the street. It is green, beautiful and quite. All things I love. Now, this was our view...awwee...nice...peaceful. 

This is our new view (as of last week; I am a bit behind). SUCKS! Rumor has it we have a huge home going up within a few weeks. Lovely...
